Celebrating Growth, Perseverance, and Service: Moving-Up Ceremony 2026
On 24 May 2026, our Moving-Up Ceremony was a joyful celebration of the children's growth and achievements throughout the year in our English Enrichment Programme.
The event recognized children who successfully completed their level and moved on to the next stage of learning. Certificates were awarded to these students, while special recognition was also given to those who demonstrated outstanding effort, commitment, and progress throughout the programme.
The children delighted parents and guests with song presentations from both classes and a combined skit performance. Through the dedication and guidance of the teachers, the children were carefully coached and given opportunities to practise their roles and presentations. Their confidence, teamwork, and communication skills shone through as they showcased what they had learned during months of lessons and preparation, culminating in a wonderful skit presentation that was enjoyed by all.
During the programme, Tr Daisy shared a message on the importance of simply showing up. The children were reminded that growth happens when we continue to come, learn, and persevere despite challenges, tiredness, or difficult circumstances. Every small step of faithfulness and effort contributes to moving forward and becoming better versions of ourselves. True growth happens when we keep showing up and do our best.
Ptr Paul also encouraged the children and families to continue pursuing learning, building good character, and trusting God as they journey through each stage of growth. His message reminded everyone that success is not only measured by achievements but also by faithfulness, perseverance, and a willingness to keep learning.
The programme also provided opportunities to mentor and support volunteer teachers through regular discussions and planning sessions. Together, we explored meaningful ways to strengthen children's life skills and confidence, resulting in plans to introduce monthly hands-on activities such as simple cooking and baking experiences beginning in June.
On 30 May 2026, gifts and educational supplies were distributed to support the children's learning needs. School bags, school uniforms, and other school supplies were provided, bringing encouragement and joy to many families.
We are also proud of our older children who participated in the anniversary celebration of a church in Zambales. Through their presentation of songs of praise and worship, they confidently used their talents to glorify God and bless the congregation.
As we reflect on the past year, we thank God for His faithfulness and for the growth we have witnessed in the lives of the children. We are grateful to the teachers, volunteers, parents, and supporters who have journeyed alongside us. We look forward to another year of learning, growth, and service together.
We would also like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the Moriel family, our donors, and all who have continually supported Moriel Ministries and its programmes. Your generosity, prayers, and unwavering support have made it possible for us to continue serving and guiding these children. Thank you for your continued encouragement and support throughout the years.
